For over 20 years, the Northeast Pennsylvania Employment Consortium(NPEC) has been supporting the regional, national, and international recruiting needs of our industry partners by providing an annual Employment and Internships Fair to help our current students, new graduates, and alumni connect to the professional opportunities your organization has to offer. This collaborative effort of NPEC’s six private colleges and universities is a source of 20,000 highly motivated, creative, and adaptable undergraduates and graduate students eager to support your mission. In 2012, NPEC will be changing the format for our annual NPEC Employment and Internship Fair held in March at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, PA to a multiple event virtual format.

In attempts to better meet the recruiting needs of our industry partners and our respective students, new graduates, and alumni, we will be hosting three (3) Virtual Employment and Internships Fairs throughout the 2011-2012 academic year in lieu of our one time “physical” job fair. As this format will be more fiscally conscientious, we are confident that this format will allow us to better target individual industry clusters, attract a greater number of participating employers, better target industry recruiting timelines while also encouraging a greater number of students, new graduates, and experienced alumni to connect to your organization.
Please note, while each fair will have a focus for specific industry clusters, employers from any industry can participate in posting employment and internships opportunities at any virtual event. Employers must register separately for each event in order to participate. Outlined below is the schedule and cost of the Virtual Employment and Internship Fairs being offered by NPEC for the 2011-2012 academic year.

Employer Registration – September 8 to September 30, 2011
Virtual Fair (student participation) – October 3 to November 15, 2011
Event #2 (Cost $99)
Virtual Employment and Internship Fair: Healthcare and Natural Sciences focus
Employer Registration – January 2 to January 31, 2012
Virtual Fair (student participation) – February 1 to February 29, 2012
Event #3 (Cost $99)
Virtual Employment and Internship Fair: All Industries
Employer Registration – March 5 to April 6, 2012
Virtual Fair (student participation) – April 9 to May 18, 2012

In addition, if your organization would like to utilize the on-campus recruiting services offered by the individual colleges and universities to interview your potential candidates identified through any of the virtual events, we would happily accommodate your organization on our individual campuses.
