What is NPEC?
The Northeast Pennsylvania Employment Consortium(NPEC) is an initiative of the Northeast Pennsylvania Education Consortium (NEPEC). NEPEC is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation of private accredited colleges and universities located in Lackawanna and Luzerne counties, Northeast Pennsylvania. Its members include: The Commonwealth Medical College, Keystone College, King’s College, Marywood University, Misericordia University, Summit University, The University of Scranton and Wilkes University. Its mission is to provide cost savings, service enhancements, and efficiencies to its member institutions. The NEPEC is committed to serving its members by: acting as a catalyst and resource for developing and promoting cost saving, the advantages of joint purchasing, and quality improvement initiatives; fostering and facilitating cooperation for the benefit of students, faculty, employees, and the community; and supporting partnerships and collaborative efforts that address common needs and concerns.
